About the client
Perfect Skip is a leading marketing data service provider for real estate professionals across United States. They are expertise in providing solutions for skip tracing to provide provides information about landlords, property details, age, bankruptcy, IP address, relatives information, etc.
Skip tracing in real estate is the process of locating the property owner and is extensively used by investors to find the best investment opportunities in the sector.
The Challenge
The skip tracing process needs high precision and the management of multiple complex data points. Manual processing of such critical loads of data may hamper the reliability of the final information.
The challenge was to:
Design an integrated automation solution for a system of such complexity
Integrate various service and infrastructural platforms to format, validate, process and share the
data with the end-users.
Manage resource-intensive file processing when there is a spike in server load when many files (as
high as 2000 files/minute) are simultaneously uploaded, especially during sales and promotional
activities.
Accelerate the sequential file processing.
The client wanted to launch the product in the minimum time possible hence we suggested following the minimum viable product (MVP) approach, which took 90 days to reach from planning to launch-ready stage.
The Product

File
uploading
To use the Perfect Skip platform, users are required to upload a file with the landlords' address or names, or just the address of the properties.
Validation
Once the user uploads the input file with the required information, the file is validated against specific parameters.
Cost
calculation
The cost is calculated, and after the payment is made, the system takes it on to the next level of processing.
File
formating
The system then formats the file, divides the records into chunks as each file may have millions of records, and the integrity of the data has to be maintained.
All the transactions going through the system had to be fail-safe as each transaction is directly reflected in revenue for the client. Hence each transaction is monitored closely for errors, logs are monitored in real-time, and a fail-safe approach is implemented for each process.
