FitToday Case Study

A health app for Kids,
by Kids

FitToday, as a kids’ health application, is built to focus on the physical & mental health of the kids, especially for teenagers. The application, which is available as a web app, mobile app for Android & iOS, and connects with smartwatches, is one way for parents, teachers, and health authorities to ensure the right overall development of kids. The platform is initiated as a minimum viable product (MVP) to introduce the idea and check its acceptability.

Kids’ health is on everyone’s mind.

The times are demanding, and just like adults, kids have a lot on their plate: their studies, active participation in sports & events, healthy habits, co-curricular activities, and a lot more. And the best part is, kids themselves are aware of the importance of being physically and mentally fit. FitToday is an initiative of our client to support this awareness.

About the client

Our client for FitToday is a little boy who was just 12 years old when he got the idea. This makes this platform as unique and challenging as the idea itself. His parents, who are part of Digital Health & ML/AI Compliance in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, supported his vision and helped get connected with Anuyat to take it further for digital transformation.

The Challenge

Dashed line

Digital space for kids is expanding every minute. No matter how we appreciate our kids being tech-savvy, we are concerned about their safety, even if they use a kids’ health application.

Hence, FitToday has to address the following challenges:

It should provide a safe and secure online environment for the kids.

Coution Triangle

Additional precautions need to be taken while registering kids under 13.

Measures to automatically block features that would allow a child to post.

Why Anuyat

User experience icon

Experience: Anuyat has working experience with the healthcare sector in Asia and American regions. Using the same wisdom, the team was aware of the CDC guidelines and started building the application on the same lines.

Chess icon

Strategic edge: The strategy of anonymization and aggregation was used to build trust with product users. The processes route information to be shared safely without disclosing personal information.

Security icon

Prioritize security: For all privacy-sensitive data, encryption was implemented while keeping it persisted for basic functionality on the server. And the control was given to end-users over classified data, at least a view, edit, delete private repository option.
